Hello! I’m just a mostly awesome (and not ugly, from what I’ve been told) 39 year old guy in the Kansas City area that would like to meet some ladies whose names don't end in .jpg. Don’t want romance? That’s perfectly okay (although you’re definitely...probably missing out), we can be platonic. Aren’t local? That's very unfortunate, but we can still chat. I'm just trying to be a bit more social and a bit less single, so I'd figure I'd give Reddit a try (again).

I should probably talk about myself a bit more. I currently engineer software for fun and profit, but mostly profit. I play a lot of video games (I'm currently making my way through the Gungeon) and occasionally try to make some of my own (staying focused is hard). I like all types of music...is something I would say if I was a filthy, filthy liar. I like the metal (Gojira, Lamb Of God, Messugah), stuff that’s a bit less metal (Deftones, Stabbing Westward, Rammstein), and stuff that isn’t very metal at all (Cake, Garbage, Portishead). I play bass (fairly well), guitar (somewhat competently), and drums (poorly). I also write music and put that music on Soundcloud once in a blue moon. Since we live in a golden age of TV, I’ve become quite fond of TV shows: e.g., The Wire (the best show in existence), Midnight Mass, The Expanse (the work must continue), Oddtaxi, and Severance just to name a few. Finally, I must admit that I have a fondness for fancy words, proper spelling, and punctuation. Some guys get weak in the knees for blondes. I get weak in the knees for semicolons...and boobs.

There are probably some other things I’ve neglected to mention, but that's to be expected. If you’ve read this far, why not send me a pm? I can guarantee that I’ll respond, because not responding would be a lame. I can promise that doing so won't result in you getting mauled by a bear, and it's easier than putting together a silver monkey statue.
