Hello, I am 20F and rent a house with my brother 19M. We have a 3rd roommate currently, but they are looking to relocate. I am searching for a replacement roomie. I would need assurances that you’re able to pay rent, as well as a deposit (I am giving the third roommate their deposit back when they leave). I would legally add you to the lease as well so you can get rental history/have no gaps. Please delete if not allowed.

Our place is 3 stories, an unfinished basement, a main level, and an upstairs that was converted from a loft. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The yard is fully fenced, and I own the laundry machines in the basement so they are in house. It is located near UMKC, Rockhurst, the plaza, and highway 71.

We are 420 friendly and do smoke inside the house. No cigarettes. We do not mind if you are a non smoker, or a cigarette smoker, we just ask that you respect us and our habits since we have made ourselves at home here. My brother lives on the upper floor with his own bathroom, and I live in the back room. All the bedrooms are very similar in dimensions. I am a college student. We also have 1 large dog, and 2 cats. My dog is very easy going but I would need assurances about your dog if you wish to bring one. Same for cats, however my cats are selective. One is very shy but sweet. The other is very active, and sweet but picky about cats. All my pets are spayed females. Small pets are discretionary.

What we are looking for: Sorry, but please do not inquire if you are above 30yrs old, or have any felony charges.

We are looking for someone relatively young, who is not a neat freak. Our mother was one, and although we are not dirty, papers and miscellaneous items stack up on the tables throughout the week. Our house also inevitably has fur in it. Fluff from my dog’s toys aren’t swept every single day, but I get to it about every other day. My litter boxes are kept tidy and clean.

We would prefer to be friends eventually and enjoy each other’s company, however, if you like to keep to yourself and want to be relatively left alone that is also fine.

Communication is key! Let’s talk about it instead of being passive aggressive or silently hating each other. Also please let me know 2 months in advance if you wish to vacate so I can prepare.

$735 flat rate for rent, renters insurance, water, gas, electricity, and WiFi.

$760 with pets (we pay pet rent)

$10/month for the mini fridge to be placed in your room.
