I'm not feeling it? I was so excited when people said DK was on par with Ryuki, that it was another fresh take on the show and i'm severely disappointed. Dragon Knight is your by the books american watered down version, Dragon Knight does NOTHING that Ryuki didn't do better.

The worldbuilding was Ok at the start because it was basically Ryuki, but then, it didn't resist the american urge to boil down anything even a little bit esoteric into ALIENZ. Now, the non-character that was Xaviax is now and EVILLL ALIEN who wants to dominate the world, he even lives in his own EVIL CASTLE right outside the city.

The show had some grip and tension at the start, characters had semi-reasonable moivations and met their ends. Then, none of it mattered because everyone was alive. Then my engagement with the show ended.

Some characaters make no sense, the military guy for example literally went "My son has a severe incurable disease, I will now proceed to call him a failure." Len is a brick, he is literally what if Ren had no character to himself and was just a generic stoic guy.

And just don't get me started on the acting, Ryuki's wasn't stellar but DK's is barely even acting at this point.
