Lifespan of Flame Boss?

I have a five year old FB300 and after about four years, it’s starting to behave a little wonky (power cuts off and on, temp readings will be all over the map - but it’s still pretty accurate 95% of the time.) I always keep it outside with my Joe, but that’s always covered when not in use. They’re expensive, so I’d rather not upgrade yet, but if four years is normal, I’ll need to start budgeting for the 500.
