In KR, both in game and in most fanart, Germany is represented by the Reichskriegsflagge. Specifically, the Naval Ensign. This has been the case in KR for as long as I can remember, and I've been playing the mod since DH days

The Reichskriegsflagge is not actually the flag of Germany in the mod, it was not actually the flag of Germany historically, and it wasn't even the actual flag of most of the German military during WW1

Today, the Reichskriegsflagge has a very strong association with the German extreme right and neo-nazis, who have used the flag and other Imperial German symbology to represent their movement, due to the swastika and nazi symbology being banned. Moreover, this association is not new - right wing freikorps paramilitary groups widely used the Reichskriegsflagge in the aftermath of the German Revolution

Why does KR use a German naval war flag, one very closely associated with naziism in the modern day, to represent Germany, when Germany did not even use this flag to represent itself in the Imperial eroa?
