For those unfamiliar, during the unification stage of tno's Russia, specific provinces have certain bonuses tied to them, representing major pre-war factory complexes - eg, controlling the city of Izhevsk gives control of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, one of the largest small arms manufacturers in the former USSR, which accordingly gives a bonus to small arms production
While factions in KR's ACW2 will have greater ability to build new industries and convert existing ones than in shattered tno's Russia, existing industrial infrastructure should provide a boost as they won't require conversion. this could also help provide more strategic direction for campaigns - players could specifically aim offensives at capturing specific bonuses, rather than just generally pushing along the lines
Some examples I'm thinking of:
- Philadelphia - Frankford Arsenal, the largest ammunition factory in the US (small arms production, supply consumption)
- Camden, NJ - Campbell's Soup (supply consumption)
- Springfield, MA - Springfield Arsenal, the largest small arms factory in America (small arms production)
- Bethlehem, PA - Bethlehem Steel, one of the largest steel plants which also produced artillery pieces and battleship armor (capital ship construction, artillery production)
- Pontiac, MI - GM's Pontiac factories (motorized production)
- Buffalo, NY - Curtiss-Wright P-36 fighter plants (fighter production)
While the capture of factories in general will still be attached to provinces in general, this system could give players and the AI greater emphasis on holding individual VPs that represent an important industrial concern vital to the war effort
