I've been placed in the queue for cataract surgery. This makes me happy! My vision is a wreck and I'm eager for relief!

Really? Can't narrow it down any more than that?
"We'll call you too set up your consultation a couple of weeks beforehand."
So, the best I can hope for is a couple of weeks notice for something that will probably happen in 6-9 months.
That makes it pretty hard to plan. That's to strange time off. Hard to plan for travel. Hard to make commitments. Add enthusiastic as I am, this degree of uncertainty seems... Needless. I'd really appreciate more information. I can wait 6-9 months, but tell me when it's going to be!
