Need advice on clutch/lever

Okay my clutch gap is suppose to be 1-3mm. When I put it on that. It seems to shift smoother. And finds nuetral easier. But it engages way too far out for my little ass hands. Like where the clutch grabs and I start taking off is literally at the end of my lever pull so it throws me off so bad specially having small hands. And I already have the lever on level 5 so it won’t come any closer. For me to have jt where it’s comfortable I have this much gap. What the bell should I do
