I'm a lifelong Prodigy fan and unless you're a lifelong Prodigy fan or you spend tons of time deep diving and have no life, you're not going to understand that they just aren't a "genre" and in order to understand really...you need to understand the evolution of the band. Half hearted Prodigy fans will just pick the album of choice that correlates with their preferred genre (which is great actually and makes concerts fun with all the different music fans). I clearly notice this with King Gizzard and as someone who just found out about them last year, I can't understand what the hell is going on with this band. Same with Osees. I love some of it, and some of it I just don't really find interesting or fun.
Just wondering what other bands fall into this kind of category.
Definitely KLF, Mike Patton and then Aphex Twin. Can anyone else think of/recommend anything similar to deep dive into?
