So I literally see zero love for this album. I know remix albums are usually overlooked or disregarded, but i'm one of those people who actually finds them pretty interesting. Even if a remix is pretty bad, I just find it interesting seeing someone remold a song in their vision.

Luckily, King Gizzard did good in this regard and they picked a great selection of remixes. Some surpass the originals, some are total mindfucks. I love it either way. I appreciate the risk they took here, it's awesome to see other artists show their love for KG.

I'm gonna talk about these songs in the same order as the actual album, because I don't think the track order matters much here. It just makes it easier to visualize which songs got the most remixes. I should mention B3K one of my favorite albums of the band, so i'm not saying this is better by any means. I'm just saying if you're already a fan of B3K, this is a neat album of bonuses.

"Yours - Fred P Journey Mix" is the only Yours remix on here which I do find pretty disappointing. I do like it, it's a 12ish minute long ambient house song. I know I just hyped this album up super hard, but I think this is one of the most underwhelming ones. It really changes the tone of the song into a sleepier, more hypnotic drive. It's good, but I can't help but wonder what it would be like if we got 1 more Yours remix that was more upbeat.

Shanghai has 2 remixes here. "The Scientist Dub" is one of the least offensive remixes, with super subtle differences from the original. I think I actually prefer this one to the original. However, the other remix here done by Deaton Chris Anthony is my favorite by far. The song gets transformed into a reggae type beat, and then transforms into this wicked drum and bass beat. I won't spoil any more.

Dreams also got 2 remixes, and both are so much better than the album cut. "Yu Su Instrumental Mix" is a super spacey version of the song, and I think this one is a highlight of the album for sure. This is one of the most chill songs under the King Gizzard name, I just wish it went on longer. The other remix is done by Peaking Lights. In contrast to the previous remix, this one is super energetic and feels right at home at some trippy rave party. Again, I don't want to spoil this one much. Just think of it as "Dreams - Extended Mix".

Blue Morpho got 5 fucking remixes for some reason. It kinda bothered me for a while, but i've grown to not care because they are all so good! I understand why the band couldn't leave any out. I'm not gonna go into detail on all of them, but "Mall Grab Remix" and "Ciel's Fluttering Dub" are my favorites. Mall Grab is a really chill, kinda city pop type beat. Ciel's dub is a bit of a slow build, but the outro makes it all worth it to me, with all the high pitched bubbly noises.

Interior People only got 1 remix because the band didn't want to embarrass anybody else by having to go against this remix. That's probably not true, but fuuuck is this one good. Remixed by Confidence Man, the song gets transformed into a dark, arcade racing game type song. I'm not musically literate enough to know what else to compare it to, it just reminds me of those PS1 racing games like Ridge Racer. I super prefer this one over the original song, and the original song is in my top 20 favorites. If you only have time to listen to one here, pick this one.

Catching Smoke has 3 remixes and they are all pretty strange. "DāM-FunK Mix" is barely different at all except for no lyrics. "4AM Wack Rmx" very true to the title, and it sounds like if someone tried to remake Catching Smoke from scratch at 4am while under every substance known to man. "Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith Mix" is the closing track, and I swear it was added as a joke. I love it, it's basically the brainrot YTP version of Catching Smoke. As funny as it is, it's also horrible. I find it interesting how some songs like Dreams and Blue Morpho work well for remixes, yet no one could get Catching Smoke right.

2.02 Killer Year got one remix by Bullant, and I truly do think this should've made the album instead. I understand why it didn't, but Joey rave track is just too good. This is another highlight that I really enjoy falling asleep to.

Black Hot Soup also got one remix by DJ Shadow and was the lead single. It's a super solid remix obviously, DJ Shadow always delivers. Compared to any other song on the album, this one does the best imo at completely overhauling the original's sound.

Ya Love has 3 remixes and I love them all. I love Flaming Lips so it's neat to see them basically transform Ya Love into a Lips song. Geneva Jacuzzi comes through with an awesome, funky Jet Set Radio type remix. The Hector Oaks remix is another energetic dance number, but I've rambled long enough, stop reading and go listen to them! All 3 are great!
