I'm mainly making this post just to bring up Embryo. The Space Junk and Plasma are awesome too, but it makes me especially sad that this one is just a bonus track. I feel like it should've easily been worked into Extinction, and made for a way more chaotic and exciting end to the album.

As much as I do enjoy Extinction, it feels a little too happy compared to the previous few songs on the album. I know these tracks are meant to be extra treats for vinyl records, but I think they should've just been included for streaming and the extended version too. All 3 songs are super trancy, hypnotic, and tie the album together a lot more. I just don't understand the point of trying to keep them "hidden"

But yeah Embryo is fucking awesome, I love how it sounds like the musical equivalent of all systems shutting down. It's the exact type of outro that Silver Cord needed in my opinion. Still a good album, but it's so hard to not think of all the missed potential when I listen to it. As much of a longshot as it is, I do hope that one day they release a version of the album that is the "definitive" version.
