Keep in mind these are all extremely bizarre lyrics and this lyrics could mean absolutely anything for all I know. But from the small amount of lyrics and song titles, this album in my opinion seems to be a story about one soul, born from the collision of Theia ("Silver cord now torn, the spirit flies") plus ("dance with Theia"). Silver Cord now has this spirit character in a state in-between life and death ("Safe within this bardo playground") plus ("No refuge in between your death. The spirit seems to be in the process of being reborn as a baby, fully aware of what's happening. But knowing that they'll forget everything the currently knows once they're born. What the fuck was Joey smoking, who knows. But I really like the idea of that. My guess with Set, Chang'e, and Gilgamesh, is that all 3 of those historical figures all share the same intertwined spirit character. I have absolutely no clue about where Swan Song and Extinction could take that theory though.
