I accidentally came across the drama Fantastic. The plot intrigued me a lot. The female lead is a writer and was diagnosed with cancer and is given 6 months to live. The male lead is a famous actor but sucks really bad at acting. I initially thought that the show was going to be sad. Well boy was I wrong! The drama’s plot always had me itching for more. The FL’s doctor had a crush on her, and so did the ML. I wanted to dislike him but he was just so nice. What I really loved about the doctor is that even though he was kindly rejected, he took it very well. In an unexpected twist, him and the ML became the bestest of friends. They had an odd relationship but it was brotherly. The fought and bickered but they both liked doing it to each other. They gave each other advice and played around together. It was really fun to watch. The FL had a good relationship with both men. The side characters had such a rich story I felt like it could’ve been a drama on its own! I didn’t check the cast before watching and when I saw Jisoo pop up to be in that plot I was so excited! The side plot was so sad and frustrating to watch because we saw the true colors of the show’s villains. They’re absolutely terrible omggg. I was so proud of the FL’s friend for defeating and standing up to the villains after so many years of abuse. It was so uplifting to see the FL and her friends relationships with one another. They supported and helped one another no matter what even when they found out about the FL’s disease. She had an amazing support system once she came out.

Instead of focusing on the fact that she had a short amount of time to live, she worked hard and treated herself and pushed to achieve her goals. Even though she had some rough patches where she felt like she was going to give up and things seemed hopeless she got through it all thanks to the help of her ‘cancer colleague’ and the ML. What really stood out to me was the ML’s undying love for the FL. He never had any doubts and didn’t treat her any differently when he found out. She didn’t want to be treated like a patient, and that’s just what happened. It’s almost as if she was never ill. He never had any second thoughts no matter what came up and even though things were hard for him too he dealt with it in a well and healthy manner. His manager is the best btw. Complete best friend material right there aaahh! Surprisingly the drama didn’t have a sad ending and there was even a surprise relationship revealed! It was such a satisfying show to watch with a great beginning, middle and end. Justice was served nicely too. It’s definitely in my top 10 dramas, and I’ve watched almost 130 dramas lol. Definitely worth the watch!
