Correction: 8-2
I was worried about going to SF because we are going to most likely lose Butler except for Pinch Hit scenarios, but I was relieved to see we were 11-2 in NL ballparks this year. That's a great record, but we didn't exactly play the toughest NL schedule.
L 5/5: San Diego 5-6 (F/12)
W 5/6: San Diego 3-1 (F/11)
W 5/7: San Diego 8-0
W 6/2: St. Louis 6-0
W 6/3: St. Louis 8-7
W 8/5: Arizona 12-2
W 8/6: Arizona 4-3
W 8/7: Arizona 6-2
W 8/19: Colorado 7-4
L 8/20: Colorado 2-5
Butler has been great this season, but I have to assume Yost will keep Hosmer at 1B because his bat is just as valuable, but his glove is much better. Most of the more dispensable bats in the lineup are indispensable in the field. Basically, for the first half of these regular season games, Butler sat out except for pinch hitting. For the second half of the games, Butler player 1B because Hosmer was hurt.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Double Spaces after lines.
EDIT 2: u/LosingIsADisease brought it to my attention that the Royals are 8-2 with NL rules, as I accidentally included the Astros, who are no longer in the NL. Which brings fond memories of me dragging all my coworkers to the Royals @ Astros game in the summer of 2009 (I lived in Houston one summer) to come see some kid they had never heard of named Grienke throw a gem.
