Hi guys, I wrote a few thoughts about the players in our squad, would appreciate if you gave it a read and discuss in the comments!
Tek: Had a shit start to the season with many mistakes, but he recovered and does quite well now. He does misplace a bit too many passes in my opinion, but nothing too worrying.
Perin: Started a few games and was pretty solid, no real flaws, should maybe start more here and there.
Pinsoglio: God.
De Sciglio: Has gotten a good amount of playtime, mostly on the left, where he played quite solid despite being right footed. However, he does obviously lack quality to be a starter, nonetheless a good backup, as he can play RB and LB
Chiellini: Solid, good leadership, is injured often because of his age but I‘m still always happy to see him in the lineup.
Bonucci: Mostly solid, even though he does seem to make mistakes more frequently than previously. Great build up player as always. However, to me it seems like he doesn’t motivate the team as hard as he should, being one of the old guys.
De Ligt: Superb. He uses his physique so well when defending and I love to see his joy whenever he absolutely bodies someone. His best season for us yet imo, hope we can keep him for longer. Also seems to make less mistakes than before.
Danilo: Great when he can concentrate on his defensive responsibilities, does however leave gaps when he has to work forward a lot. Our best playmaking defender after Bonucci I think.
Sandro: Too mistake prone, his better games are also not more than OK… His wages are too high for what he brings to the team, should be replaced.
Pellegrini: Should get more playing time, neither did he seem outrageously good, nor bad at all. Need to see more to evaluate him properly.
Rugani: Seems to have gotten a bit better than in the last years, still only good as a backup but probably nothing more.
Arthur: I feel like the whole team plays better when he is on the field, especially when playing against pressing opponents, as he is the best in keeping possession out of our whole midfield. Should start more often.
Cuadrado: Always like to see him play, wherever it is. Seemed a little tired in the last games, maybe needs some rest. Other than that he is quite solid, but you can see his abilities decreasing because of his age. Still we absolutely need to keep him, I think he is very important for the team.
McKennie: After a poor start to the season, he has picked up form and is one of our most important midfielders. I see a lot of slander on this subreddit towards him, but I can’t understand it. Sure, technically he isn’t the next Pirlo, but he runs like a headless chicken for 90 minutes, defending and being our most dangerous midfielder in attack, while also creating a good amount of chances. Great signing! Super sad about his injury.
Rabiot: Mixed performances, I don‘t think he is as bad as this subreddit makes him out to be, however he isn’t more than backup quality, and for that his wages are far too high. Management should try to get rid of him.
Locatelli: Solid, has had some good, some mediocre and also one or two bad games. I want to see him play further up the pitch, but somehow Allegri only plays him as a regista. You can clearly see his potential and I look forward to seeing him develop at Juventus. Great signing
Zakaria: From what we have seen so far, 5M seemed like an absolute steal. He is great defensively and played some very nice passes aswell, I want to see more of him! Great signing
Vlahovic: Obviously a great signing and you can see what he brings to the team immediately. He has to be fed more with through passes, because he does a lot of good runs. However, against Atalanta he was invisible for the whole match, but we have to see more of him, for which I am hyped!
Morata: Seemed to be afraid to shoot for a long time now, the support role on the left wing fits him much better and he works very nice. 35M however would be too high of a price tag for him I think, still I would like to see him stay, he certainly loves this club.
Dybala: Everyone knows the controversy. When he plays, he brings a lot to the team not only in form of assists and goals, technically our best player. Sadly, he is super injury prone. I still think Juve should try everything to keep him, he is a true bianconero and we need his quality, it’s always a joy to watch him play.
Kean: Sadly he doesn’t seem to replicate what he has done at PSG, didn’t get much playing time yet but whenever he did, it felt as if he wasn’t there at all. I would really like to see him succeed, but I feel as if he doesn’t have the mentality to do so. I think we paid around 35M for him, which was way too much.
Bernadeschi: Better than in the last years, good rotation player imo, however does sometimes make bad decisions. I think we should keep him.
Chiesa: Had a difficult start to the season, mainly because Allegri played him so far on the right, nowhere near goal. We all know his quality and I can’t wait for him to be fit again and hopefully play the trident with Dusan and Dybala!
Jorge: Needs more time, can‘t really say anything about him sadly.
