How to find a good shop so that I don’t end up on this sub lol
Post Body

I drive a 21 Tacoma. Bought 1.5 yrs ago w/ 18 miles on it. Before this I’d own 2 cars in my life - new to me but a good 5 yrs old. Maintenance included topping off fluids, breaks & rotors, tires, oil change.

I’m sitting at the dealership now getting some work done & outside of the usual stuff (oil change, tire rotation)… they say I need a break flush, coolant flush & differential flush, air filters changed… $700.

I know everyone has bills & end of day it’s a business. But I also know dealerships tend to overcharge. How do I find a good go to shop? What questions should I ask? What are reasonable prices? (hourly? Markup on prices?)
