Stop asking for a key!
Post Body

My FIL keeps bringing up 2 topics: 1. He wants us to move to the same town as him and 2. He wants a key to our current house. We keep telling him no over and over but whenever he gets the opportunity he asks again and gets butt hurt when we say we want our privacy. Today I said how the house is a shit tip because baby has stopped sleeping through the night and has developed separation anxiety and I work 2 jobs 6 days a week so I've been too tired/busy to clean up. Since saying that he has bugged both me and husband for a key so he can come and clean while we are at work. We said no but if he loves cleaning so much he can come help us at the weekend but nope it has to be a week day. It could just be he doesn't have the time to help at the weekend which is fine and we can clean our own house but he just won't let the key thing drop. I know it's probably that he just wants to help and surprise us with a clean house or something but I just wish he could learn to respect our privacy and stop trying to push boundaries. He can't seem to understand it when people don't conform to his plans and treat him like the saviour of all that he clearly thinks he is.
