NAT'L COALITION FOR DV GETS BACKLASH ... We Believe Her, Not Johnny (TMZ)
Post Body

Not a great look for the https://ncadv.org/ to advocate for a serial domestic violence abuser against a domestic violence victim, especially as this is an organization that relies on donations and public support. And always with the reductionary "fans" labels. Some of us care about real DV victims and not about politicking and grandstanding, Mrs. Glenn. Guys, they're besieged! BESIEGED!

(2020 Democratic National Convention featured CU Denver’s Ruth Glenn, CEO and President of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, who received her MPA from the School of Public Affairs’ Program on Domestic Violence in 2003.)

"Ruth Glenn, CEO of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, tells TMZ … since releasing a statement in support of Amber last week, the group has been besieged by Depp fans on all fronts.

As for the people pointing out NCADV leaders are clearly pro-Amber -- their statement said they were "appalled by the verdict" -- Glenn admits that's accurate, because her org thinks Amber is the victim in this case ... despite the jury's verdict.

In the short term, though, she suspects this verdict might affect how DV victims come forward and speak on these issues."
