I loved Dominion, first of all. I think it did a great job balancing nostalgia with the new, and told a fun story with great visuals, lots of dinosaurs, and actually felt like a wrap up to the franchise.
But what I really loved was the other movie goers. All ages, from kids to seniors, lined up out the door of the only movie theatre in a small town, most wearing some kind of dinosaur related clothing of jewelry. There was a lot of excited whispering, and occasionally a loud gasp and someone would call out the name of their favorite dinosaur or character who had just popped up on screen. I've never experienced that kind of unbridled joy and unity in a crowd of fans outside of conventions when I was younger, and it was amazing to be part of it tonight.
