So, I'm a screenwriting major at CSULB and, as my major declares, I write screenplays. Usually, I'm writing original stories. But I also have this geek itch to get lost in a fandom with fanfiction. And because my talents lie with screenwriting, my fanfiction are screenplays.
With that said, would I be okay to share links here? They are hosted on ScriptRevolution and Ao3. I also have a personal website.
I currently have written 3 feature length stories, and one short. I try to adhere to the canon, but not completely as I haven't read every website, article, watched every behind the scenes, or know every detail of production. Also, I try to incorporate other Jurassic Park products, such as the video games, comics, and toys. So, there's bound to be conflicts. Also, with one story (my first), I later realized I confused two storms crucial to the plot, yet I still share it because it's a solid story.
I'm gonna leave a synopsis for each here.
JURASSIC LEGACY: THE CHAOS ON ISLA SORNA This is the one with the error.
June, 1993: Isla Nublar.
InGen plans to create the dinosaur theme park, Jurassic Park. Although some dinosaurs are bred on Isla Nublar for show, the real factory for Jurassic Park is based on Isla Sorna, or Site B, as employees call it.
When technology misbehaves, chaos ensues. BioSyn, a tech company, dispatches a team to retrieve a live sample dinosaur.
Caught in the crossfire, a troubled couple learn secrets of inGenโs operations and each other.
Something will survive. Will they?
JURASSIC LEGACY: THE GREEN FLAMES OF ISLA NUBLAR This one was a finalist at a screenwriting competition.
On Isla Nublar in June of 1993, John Hammond holds a tour for respected, professional guests to endorse Jurassic Park. But they aren't supposed to be the only guests.
The island and park are large, and Hammond wants to cover as much of the park in a weekend as possible.
As Hammond's present guests take the established guided tour, a second group takes a JEEP tour of the the Western and Southern sections of the island with the intention of switching tours the following day.
Unfortunately, the second group arrives too late for their scheduled tour and an impatient Hammond carries on as scheduled.
On the island, the four guests get an impromptu tour with Ed Regis as the reluctant guide. Everything is going as well as Regis can make it, until the power goes out and the fences die.
None of them could predict the disaster to follow.
As some guests try to find shelter from the dangers of the park, others seek out a Costa Rican legend of Green Flames
deep in Isla Nublar with the power to resurrect the dead.
Life finds a way...
JURASSIC LEGACY: DEEPER WOUNDS PART I This is a two part story. This story is rated R. There is heavy language, extreme violence, sexism, racism, and politics. It's my experiment in asking, "what if Jurassic got hyper political?" This story may offend the Conservatives.
2018, Weeks after Maisie Lockwood releases the dinosaurs from Lockwood Estate into the North American mainland, Nick Van Owen is sucked back into the world of chaos when FBI agent, Molly Mead, recruits him to track down Zia Rodriguez.
Far-Right extremist group, Humanity First, has abducted Zia in an effort to discover a method of reactivating the lysine contingency in all dinosaurs, triggering another mass extinction.
Nick and Molly, aided by Kelly Malcolm and Doc Thorne, race against time to save Zia's life and perhaps even save the dinosaurs.
The short is a 100% non canon conforming history of Zia's journey into the DPG.
I've also written a series of diary entry styled stories from employees pre-1993 incident.
I hope it's okay to share on here.
And, yes, this is not my first account. I deleted my old one then regretted it when I realized I kinda need Reddit for some things.
Anyway, thank you so much for your time. I know I wrote a lot. I wanted to be thorough.
