In your own opinion, with all the advancements in paleontology and greater understanding of the mesozoic, what mesozoic species do you think would be in the initial species list if the Jurassic park novels were written in the modern day? From my understanding Michael Crichton largely based the species list on the most notable dinosaurs, as well as taking some creative liberties with how others looked to fit his story (velociraptor being much larger, dilophosaurus spitting venom and having a frill, etc.) So with that in mind, what do you think a more modern version of the initial “ingens list” would look like?
