Is GMC really an anti-doctor body?

Post Body

Hi

I came across a GMC investigation report I was reading of a doctor who, seemingly to me, was struck off rather easily.

This is making me anxious regarding a career in medicine.

How easily do GMC investigations be brought about? Lets say you have a patient who for no fault of your own dislikes you and reports you to the GMC making false accusations, would the GMC immediately open up an investigation?

Shit's scary after reading a few GMC reports. (one Dr was struck off for dishonesty on the grounds of using a fake ticket to get through barriers at a train station - ridiculous)

Also, do the GMC/patient complaints make you anxious?

Stories welcome

Thanks
