Getting back into jg, what do I do?

The title says it mostly, I haven't played jg since season 9 when pyke got removed from the jg (Which I'm fucking hoping that they'll add back, he was amazing and fit perfectly in the shit state they made jg into this season) and I started playing Amumu and Sion. I'm loving the play style of these guys and going crazy from teammates not rotating on objectives. What would you guys recommend for me to do to get back into jg? (I'm almost at the point of being a true fill player)
