I'm curious if anyone one here who does dreamwork experiences hypnopompic hallucinations, and if so do you look for/find symbolism in those as well?

I have them sometimes but I don't actually dream about the things I've seen after waking. All I know is I'll wake up and not know why, or I'll have a very paranoid feeling that begins to pulls me out of my sleep until I finally open my eyes.

I have seen on occasion a dark silhouette of a man, a spider as it was decending down by a thread and about to land on me, and most recently a nearly invisible mass hovering near the ceiling over my closet door (almost clear and fluid-like).

My dreams are often rich and detailed which helps to build meaning. I assume my visions upon waking are related to my unconscious but they lack context and feel random. Sometimes I recall having been dreaming beforehand but the dreams were totally unrelated and weren't scary or stressful.

I am not terrified by these visions since I know they aren't real (though it is startling initially to think someone is standing in my room or a spider is landing on me), just curious about them.
