Is there a risk of Gege messing up with power scaling eventually? So far he is doing a perfect job.
Post Body

So far, Gege is doing a great job with power scaling and I'm not even talking about the grading system which doesn't do that great of a job often. It's ok however. I'm talking about how the actual fights go and how match-ups play a role in them throughout the manga. Also arguably there have been no asspulls so far I would say. Maybe one can argue that the only asspull being Gojo surviving after getting knifed hard in the head by Toji. That was brutal. RCT, however, made that much less of an asspull and Gojo had that. And the great thing Gege nerfed Gojo there by getting him tired which was pretty smart. Gege handled OP characters perfectly so far.

And so far, apart from Kanjaku, disaster curses aren't surpassed by new antagonists (not easily at least) and it's not easy to be at that level. Maybe 2 of the antagonists Yuta will face will be on that level but not really surpass them perhaps (and if they are actually stronger, it's by little most likely). It always took a truly great cooperative effort of very high-level sorcerers to take disaster curses down or the truly strongest (Sukuna and Gojo) to make them look like a joke. That is perfectly reasonable and balanced. I wish things stay this way when it comes to dealing with crazy strong antagonists. I find teamwork quite interesting (on both sides, the good and evil/bad). However, we also had a lot of interesting 1vs1s. Gege so far handled all types of fights very well it's crazy he didn't have a slip yet lol.

I hope Gege keeps this up. I really don't want this manga to end up like Naruto where Yuji and Megumi end up being Gods doing DBZ like damage just for the sake of "progress". Maki powered up but it made perfect sense. Nobara being left behind would be disappointing after her amazing showings earlier but I bet she will get the progress that actually makes sense and serves her character well. She should be Grade 1 level eventually after some training and character development. She has a lot of potential.

My worst nightmare is JJK becoming like Naruto where large-scale damage is everything and match-ups won't matter anymore. I hope Gege keeps using 2vs1 battles or 1vs2 or 2vs2 battles throughout the rest of the manga in the way he has used them so far. Yuji and Megumi shouldn't always have to deal with major/tough antagonists alone. The same goes for Nobara (although I would like to see her more in 1vs1s since she rarely had those situations). If the antagonists are too strong for them, just use it as a chance to develop or showcase other interesting characters (like what happened with Todo and recently Takaba - Megumi would have lost in 1vs2 battle for sure). Noritoshi Kamo (the student) would be great to use to help someone of the main cast vs some antagonist(s). That would be a great chance to develop an interesting side character and further explore the Kamo clan.

Kyoto characters being totally ignored is kinda upsetting a bit I must admit. Hope we see some of them. Only Todo has been relevent and somewhat Mechemaru. Kamo needs some love from Gege. He has great potential. Also, would like to see their principal in a battle. He must be Grade 1 if he was good enough to beat Principal Yaga (even with some help).
