I've heard that a couple years back, before the Y2K trend came around, Juicy Couture vintage bags would go around 40$! And now it seems due to the trend, it's worth nearly triple!!
This makes me wonder if say the next year, where the new trend might be the 2010s, will Juicy Couture still be as worth as it was? I'm thinking about this because I want to wait a year in hopes I get a bag in a more "affordable" price!
I’ve also been a fan of juicy since I was little (just never really bought it until the new purses and designs came out) not to be seen as just one of the microtrend NPCs. Stg. But the designs of their purses do have a very target market of a type of aesthetic fitting either the “bimbo”, “milkshake” or “hello kitty” girl, iykyk… really just pink aesthetic girlies in general. But yeah as more people enter capitalism everyday I think they’ve solidified themselves back in the market next to Victoria Secret. The bags are made shitty just like Dior and all your favorite “lux” brands. Not many purses made in the last 20-25 years are gonna be in great shape if consistently used unless it’s a special bag. That’s why people collect things. That’s why there’s a luxury bag resale market like a mf. All the fun of items, value and capitalism 🤷♀️
