this is mostly a theorycraft post, I've only experimented in norms with them due to irl time constraints, but I think there's some serious potential here
general advantages: CHEAP items that give surprisingly good stats, high value passives/actives for your team, which is especially important because almost everyone's build got more expensive this season. Shield Heal bonuses affect ALL healing that isn't counted as HP regen (sorry, mundo), so sterak's, gargoyle, any lifesteal you have, any %missing healing you have, all of that gets improved, right?
specific items I'd like you to think about
- Moonstone
easy to proc on pretty much anyone; any jugg with a DOT basically guarantees at least, like, 3 heals, as long as someone is nearby while the dot is popping. Same with yorick ghouls. Illaoi can bash the ghost to provide heals for teammates nearby. and so on. This item also opens you up to ardent and staff of flowing water, which is actually really nice because flowing water popping like that is basically a permanent 15% MS bonus for AP juggies like mord and singed, and it's gonna give you 80-100 AP while it's active, too
Zeke's
obvious useful damage amplifier for any jugg with a hard CC; we like health, it scales its damage with health, we stun or flip or toss someone in our zone and we provide a humongous amount of potential bonus damage for our team to lay on someone
Redemption
20% heal and shield, very close to spirit visage minus its MR, however you get a big AOE team heal enemy nuke. deceptively high game changer potential
- Mikael's
same heal shield potential as above but with 50 MR, so it's actually pretty close to visage in terms of defensive value unless you REALLY need that extra health. Has a QSS effect however what makes mikael's sneakily useful is that it has a tiny grace period of about like .3 seconds before a CC hits where it'll still cleanse that CC, which makes it possible for you to use it on yourself if you can time it properly to null a stun and slip out of crowd control.
Shurelya's
- I THINK this item is underrated but it just feels really undertuned right now. It's decent for a little baby Sivir ult plus some extra damage, and you can use it on minion waves for a cheeky way to shove them to tower faster while you roam.
Knight's Vow
- Here's one I think is being passed over after its loss of healing; juggernauts are in a pretty unique spot with this item since they have the innate healing to overcome its damage transfer easily, they like its HP and regen and CDR, and they get a lot of mileage out of the extra MS. I'm convinced its OP with double bruiser comps, making your Vi extra tanky while they set you up to get in free is just too nasty
tl;dr consider these items, they're fucking good. and just keep this little info between us, ok? no snitching
