So I’m a senior in college and I graduate next fall. I managed to get my first full time job at a Fox news station as an assignment editor (paid decently too). I really wanted to be a producer, but I’m just glad my foot’s in the door. I really want to work in the entertainment field; like doing radio shows, writing for tv shows and just being able to write and be in that specific area. I decided to stay in the Midwest instead of going to a school in Los Angeles because it would’ve added years to my degree which really sucked, but it made no sense to move. I still want to move once I graduate. I have a few questions, am I going in the right direction if that’s the area I want to focus in? Even if I transfer I know I don’t want to always want to do this area of journalism, or do I continue to use it to my advantage? Would a lower market position even better when trying to go to a market like LA? I didn’t do what I was supposed to do in my early 20’s so now I’m 29 feeling like I have to play catch up..
