Is journalism actually NOT a good career for someone who likes to write? Confused community college student seeks advice

Post Body

So I'm a Communication major at a community college and I'm contemplating changing my major to just be a general liberal arts major since I really don't think I'm going to want to major in journalism when I transfer to a four year university.

I feel like I can put together a really great news story that's in depth and informative...but, I don't just want to write about anything and everything and with certain issues I'm sometimes really frustrated by the expectation of total objectivity when it comes to things that are really important to me.

I feel like I'm a writer but not necessarily meant to be a journalist; I feel like maybe I'm more suited to blogging or something.
