I have a... Kind of a problem. I process through negative emations, arguments, bad situations by journaling about them. A lot. I also use my journals to remember beautiful moments, joy, the good times when I've been hard-working and proud of myself. But when I have a problem, I can rant on like 10 pages in one sitting. And I know it helps me, but at the end, even if things have been fairly good I'm left with pages on pages on negative rambling in between the things I actually want to remember. It kinds bothers me. Don't know what to about it though :(
That's exactly what the journal is there for. The good and bad will flow out of you, and all of it is worth documenting. I do the same thing, but I don't view it as a problem because there's no shame in it. Your journal is not judging you or holding its breath, hoping it won't get another rant. It's just there, ready to be a reflection of your truth, regardless of what that may be. If it really upsets you, maybe having 2 separate journals would be a good idea.
