Whole-wheat flour for sourdough starter?
Post Body
I've been feeding my starter with ½ parts rye flour and ½ parts unbleached ap flour, but yesterday I was out of ap flour and used whole-wheat. Today, I noticed the starter has risen significantly better than before, with more and bigger bubbles. Has anyone tried this? Should I keep going with whole-wheat?
