Family has been raving about JT lately.

Ok. I want the skinny on this place. (Respectfully) - Some family members of mine, did some trips (seperately) to Joshua Tree, and have been raving about it. My one sister told me it was like having a "reset" and experienced "Vortexes" ? I don't know about any of this stuff. I literally life about an hour and a half away, which isn't too far. And I've never even been here nor heard so much about it. I'm just curious what it's about, and maybe someone here can fill me in a bit? Total newb.
