Post Body

I had a couple of days and a night with two (2) of my college friends as we spent our staycation exclusively last weekend. After not seeing them for three (3) years, the fun I anticipated meeting them was not what I got.

I think I changed.

Observing them, I think they are still the same people I met in college (we graduated 3 years ago). I understand if my statement would be deemed condescending but the talks they are opening or at least trying to offer all throughout our staycation were rumors about our former classmates and they are up to in life now, celebrity rumors, their lovelife that they keep on telling even though I knew it already, college scandals when we were still students, and other usual topics friends use to talk about.

I don't think I have changed for the past three (3) years too since pandemic made me stay at home 24/7 (leaving me caged from meeting new people) but I think my wants in life did.

I think I want something more of who I could be. Maybe I don't want the usual things people talk about much like rumors and stuff. Maybe I want to talk about the gist of someone's existence or maybe why someone chose to exist in this world of subjectivity. Maybe I want to learn new skills. Maybe I want to know how to think rather than what to think. Maybe I want to know more: to be more.

I think I want to start moving forward but I don't know where to start.

I have seen some of Mr. Jordan Peterson's video especially his debate with Cathy Newman and the video that is said made him famous (or "infamous" as what Vice News said)

I want to think like him. I want to think like Mr. Jordan Peterson. I know I could not be as intelligent as him but I want to at least think like him.

I am very much welcome about your comments to my situation. Book suggestions are deeply appreciated. Advices are welcome too.

Thank you very much in advance.

(BTW, I am currently in the Philippines so for books, some might be not available in our country but I'll do best to have a copy if you have any suggestions)
