I will start by apologising for my written English and punctuation as although it is my native language I'm not all that intelligent on that front but I am continuing to work on that.
5 weeks ago I had a question that I myself had no real answer to and even the opinion I formulated on the question I felt was incorrect so I proceeded to ask the more emotionally intelligent people in my life to gather data and come to some decision based of their thoughts.
My question is "as humans do we need to be constantly moving forward to be happy" I phrased it this way because the answers I received gave me further insight to the person I was asking, because they would answer based off their perception of moving forward. I first asked my great uncle and the short version of his answer is its totally subjective because some people need to be doing something new or working towards an end goal to find life satisfaction. I then asked my Auntie who is a self employed health coach, she has worked in high end corporate positions for companies worth billions, she is a workaholic through and through and he answer in short was "its complicated but in short yes"
The next person I asked was the first the first man (not including my father) that I truly respected and made me realise I do have to challenge authority for the sake of it. He was one of my high school teachers and he told me again. In short. sometimes you need to push forward and continue down your path to realise actually you like it back down the road and you were happy and satisfied there.
I want to gain a broader insight to peoples perceptions and thoughts on this question that catapulted me personally into sorting my life out
