And...
It was one hell of an experience.
Whilst I felt touched personally by a few of her lyrics it gave me a very introspective (?) view into Joni's struggles, feelings, thoughts and emotions. I think the way she poured her heart out is what makes this album a masterpiece - especially in 1971! I feel as though what Bob Dylan was to singer/songwriters in a political sense, Joni Mitchell was for a personal/emotional sense, although I've only listened to Blue.
I'm glad I listened to this record and like someone said on my previous post it isn't something one would listen to on a happy day, it suits a day where one is feeling blue.
