It would be similar to debating Trump on your job profession. He can just say he's better than you and his dumb ass crowd would believe him. Kind of like how he did with everything he talked about. There is no win for the person who actually knows more about the topic. It becomes name calling and shouting. Watch any of the presidential debates. That's what kind of forum people who don't know what they're talking about want to set up.

I feel like ignoring the morons is the best course. Don't give them a platform. If they make their own that's ok, you'll know where the bs is coming from. Like louder with crowder, Shapiro, Tate. They're easy to spot. They're easy to ignore too. I only see them when they get blasted like it's actual news.

You can't reason with unreasonable people. These people aren't going into a debate for a discussion they are there for an argument. All they want is a soapbox to stand on, usually to grift, and spread more misinformation.

I think the fact checking system on some social media is a step in the right direction. It shows these people in real time they are wrong from the same system they are using to spread misinformation. Instead of from someone on the opposite side of the argument which means nothing to the person spreading misinformation.

If there were a debate platform where a panel could live fact check and strike comments from a debate. In a more court room setting. There would be more validity and maybe more willingness to debate. As it is now, there isn't much to debate, as it's just who do you want to believe?

They don't care about looking stupid. And their fan base love it. They want to be loud and in your face. Just look at how ridiculous MTG and lil miss GED Bobehrt. They are some of the dumbest people I've seen publicly speak yet they some how got voted in and cheered for. Reddit is a good place to see I'm not the only one who thinks they're ridiculous but it also makes me realize most people aren't on reddit.
