I see plenty of programmers and artists here looking for work, but not so many job opportunities. Who would want to work with me to make an opportunity, in the form of a game development project of some description? Everyone and their dog has game ideas, and the limiting factor is how many well-organized and well-funded development teams exist to put the games together. If you can't think of one, we can rip off one from PeterMolydeux: What if a door was your companion? You can place him/her on any surface and can only interact with others on the other side of the door
The catch is that I can't (OK, OK, won't) fund a whole game project out of my own pocket. But if we got a small team together, bounced game ideas back and forth, settled on some mechanics that sound fun, and drew a couple pieces of concept art, we could set up project on BitStarter or maybe collect together the BTC we would need to issue stock on one of the (IMHO overpriced) BTC-denominated exchanges. Or look for investors independently.
What I can provide personally is organizational infrastructure (web, SVN, and Trac hosting), some skill and experience as a programmer, and experience having taken a small game project from start to finish with a small team. Again, what I can't do is actually pay you for more than maybe a couple pieces of concept art, at least until we have a pitch and can start soliciting investors or backers.
EDIT: It looks like a few people are interested, potentially enough to make something worthwhile. I'm going to crosspost this to /r/bitcoin and maybe /r/gamedev to see if anyone from there either wants to help with the game or preliminarily wants to invest. After a day or so there, I'll send out PMs to interested parties asking for e-mail addresses, and set up an e-mail list and a Trac, where we can work to write up a High Concept Document. Once we have that, we will know what our game will actually be about, and can start soliciting investors seriously.
Example High Concept Documents:

We still need a committed artist. I would prefer someone who likes 8-bit 2d pixel art, since we already have someone who makes music that would go with that style.
I've posted another game idea below, with a Bitcoin theme. I think it might be fun to do, and can probably scale well to whatever scope we want to do the game at. What do you guys think?
EDIT 2: I've set up an e-mail list on a temporary domain, so that we can decide exactly who is in, what game idea we want, and what to call ourselves, but it's taking a while to propagate over DNS. I'll send out instructions to people tomorrow about how to subscribe.
EDIT 3: Mailing list instructions are out. Message me if you were expecting them and didn't get them. Also, by popular demand I've occupied #bitcoingame over on EFnet.
