I am jewish from my grandmothers paternal side, and her mother converted. They came to England and her father made them all bury their jewish heritage and stop practicing religiously, because of the antisemitism, and they also changed their name. I know that the Halacha doesn’t consider me jewish, but I’ve asked here a while ago and got some varying responses, most were supportive. I’m already religious to another religion, but in exploring my jewish heritage, would being culturally jewish without practicing religiously be normal, even if I wasn’t raised in it? And does anyone have any reading/podcast suggestions for me? Thanks.
