Been debating posting, so to heck with it.
I will be in front of the Beit din this summer. It has been a year long process, and boy. What a heck of a time to join the tribe. Since I started this journey, there have been instances of antisemitism. One made me genuinely afraid for my safety. But none of it can dissuade me. How can you run from the truth once you know it?
I know these times are complicated and are digging deeper the lines that divide. I know that many of us are afraid for what this equation will produce as its end result. But in these times, I am happy to be here with you all. Happy to be apart of the tradition, happy to disagree with the various branches, happy to be joining the tribe. I am happy that out of travesty, we will grow stronger together.
My chosen Hebrew name is Mordechai, and I'm proud to stand with you all and Yisrael.
