Post Body

Hello Commun, I have an 1995 ZJ that I have had almost its entire life, GREAT VEHICLE!! mine has been totally self-maintained, or not maintained. I have learned a ton about autos, engines, electronics, from her. I need help. Here is the issues: I have recently replaced the serpentine belt- goes to everything, alt, AC compressor, Crank, Anyway, Now that its back on, the vehicle has sit for 6 months because I needed to do breaks and have a 2014 Jetta I drive daily, its winter now and I want my JZ back. I start the jeep, the check engine light is on and stays on, the jeep starts right up and runs perfect for 4 minutes, I hear something come on, like a low electronic chirp, then the jeeps idle starts to change, and it downgrades into a stall after about 30 seconds.

I am wondering if the Alternator is deaD. the CEL was not on before the belt replacement, I am going to test the alternator now, I have checked the belt routing thru the external components and its correct. Any other ideas would be great!!
