I've always thought Wranglers we're so cool. I'm 47, and about to order one. I'm just not a truck type of guy, even though I live in TX. I don't want to get a truck, just because other guys have one. I don't need one, except maybe once or twice per year.
I briefly toyed with the idea of buying one of those badass, new Broncos. Then I realized that even though I'm paying cash, I'd have to likely wait almost a year. Maybe more. Fuck that, lol.
So, I'm going with my gut and getting a Jeep. I want to keep it as simple as possible. I'll probably get the hard top, for security.
What do you guys suggest adding? Or avoiding?
Pretty sure I want some taller tires on it at some point. Should I just wait till it's time for new tires? Get bigger ones immediately and sell the factory set? Planning on doing a little off roading in east TX and southeast Oklahoma (McCurtain game reserve).
How does it perform off road with the factory tires? Is it even necessary to get bigger ones?
Seems like a lot of people prefer the factory bumper. Is there a reason to not go black?
Anything else you guys can suggest would be greatly appreciated 👍
