Hello! So I am becoming scared of driving in the rain and would love to hear how people try to stay safe. A few times while driving under 20 mph my car has just lost control when making turns. It has wobbled around when driving forward or just completely slides off during turns and I have to struggle to stabilize it. Sometimes it can be pouring or simply misting and it will just drive poorly in the rain (even when it looks misty but mostly dry out). I have nearly driven off a bridge! I have been extra careful driving in rain as of late, but even so I have this issue. I also drive my moms 2D 2017 JK and she doesn’t have this issue like my JL (2019). She has fancy tires, I have stock - here may lie the problem? My tires are all good - mechanic friends have checked the car everyone says everything’s good. I have them checked often. What can I do aside from driving with extreme caution? I’ve been scared to death recently (that bridge incident was a very close call I spun 360). I love my Jeep, but in all my 20 years of driving I haven’t had this issue with rain and cars. What can I do to feel safer? I’ve had my JL Sahara 4D for 2 years now. And my best solution has been to drive my Nissan when it rains (🥲), but this is making me just resent my Jeep. I have owned other types of SUVs and honestly never had this issue like I do with my Wrangler.
