Just thought I'd share this tidbit that the JeepCares guy from FCA on www.jeeprenegadeforum.com shared regarding the Lifetime Warranty options:
"FCA vehicles purchased new and covered by the 5 year/100,000 Mile Powertrain Warranty are eligible for our lifetime warranty options within 48 months of the in-service date and 48,000 miles. Please keep in mind new MVP plans start from the original in-service date and not from the date you purchase the plan. Plans sold beyond 12 months or 12,000 from the original in-service date will have a surcharge applied. While this isnβt relevant to this particular forum, this excludes Sprinter, Viper, diesel-equipped, all Ram cab/chassis, ProMaster, Hellcat models, Alfa Romeo 4C, battery/electric, and hybrid vehicles."
So essentially, if you're buying a Renegade and want to do a Lifetime warranty, you have 12 months and/or 12,000 miles to decide if you want it or not. Otherwise, afterwards you have until 48 months / 48,000 miles to purchase one, but there will be a surcharge applied for the mileage.
