Thoughts on what could be the issue. High pitched whine.

Hey all, 2014 patriot 2.0L with the notoriously terrible CVT, 130 thousand miles on it. Have not done much to the vehicle other than replacing the Electronic throttle.
The engine constantly has a high pitched whine and is worse when accelerating.
Any ideas what the issue is? Anyone else have this issue?
