Aix Battery Bypass

9950 miles and my aux battery kicked the bucket and killed my main. No warning. Luckily I was at hone and now its getting towed to dealer to replace under warranty. Once it gets back and plan on avoiding this issue. Thought the tazer keeping the ESS off was enough. Question is, does removing the aux ground from the main terminal and fuse 42 really stop the issue? I have no tools at the moment to really remove anything else.
