07 grand Cherokee Laredo trans slip at 215k miles?

Asking for my mom. She has an 07 grand Cherokee Laredo bought it in 2007 has no mods just regular oil changes and stuff. The transmission is starting to slip sometimes now it will lose power completely or it will bog out times have been tough so she hasn’t been able to change the trans fluid it’s at about 215-219k miles now and the trans slip started to happen at 190,000 miles and I don’t think she’s ever changed the transmission fluid out. Would it be safe to do it now or what’s another help advice please this is the only car she’s owned for this long lol
