Hi All, just putting this out there for awareness since this issue is pretty well known over on the myjeepcompass forums (https://www.myjeepcompass.com/threads/2022-trailhawk-10-1-radio-volume-fades.45918/) and I could only find one recent post on it here (https://www.reddit.com/r/JeepCompass/comments/ypw362/audio_problems/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf).
A lot of 2022 Compass owners (including me) have noticed that when the heat is on, the speaker volume will gradually decrease to nothing after about 30 minutes of operation regardless of the selected volume. The issue seems to be most common with the Alpine audio system equipped trims.
Jeep has stated over in the myjeepcompass forums that there is a software update in the works to address this (originally slated for November, now pushed to Q1 2023); however, Iβm dubious that a software update will fix the issue given that itβs induced by a temperature change and presumably a component overheating.
