How would you rate a TJ with a soft top for daily driving compared to a CJ7/YJ with a soft top?

I have tried everything with my CJ7 to make the soft top worth using. So much water came around the doors, it was pretty horrifically unpleasant in even moderate rain. It also seemed to somehow be louder with the soft top on than without.
I dont feel like I could park the cj7 outside for a month without everything inside mildewing and rusting.
This is with the ”best top super top”, supposedly the best top you can buy for these. I have tried to adjust it and configure it. Still miserable.
How much better is a TJ in this regard? I'm ready to sell my CJ7 and buy a more modern Jeep so that I can be a bit more comfortable on and off road....
