Ok story time. After working on this project since Wednesday I had to share. So I regeared my 98 TJ from the stock 3.07 to 4.11. I know pretty much everyone you ask will say "don't do it unless you have experience with gearing" well this was my first time ever and I did it myself. I have to say it's really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. As long as you do lots of research prior to cracking the diff and you are VERY precise with all your measurements. It's really just a tear down and build up. It was definitely frustrating at times but over all a fun and educational experience.
TL;DR Regearing not as bad and scary as everyone makes it out to be. 7/10 would recommend as a fun project
