Post Body

Just got a '00 WJ with 130k on a 4L/A500 combo.

It's showing codes for several misfires (though seems to be running fine - nothing sounds off) - so I'm thinking it's just time for plugs.

In your experience, what plugs should I use - some research I've seen online says only to even consider using copper plugs - while my friend at the parts store strongly recommends platinum.

Secondly, should I just go ahead and replace the coil rail (w/ aftermarket part) or reuse the (I'm going to assume) original coil rail?

Finally, on a WJ of this age/mileage what else should I do in prep for a 3k mile road trip out west? Trans fluid is red and clean so I'm not sure it's worth changing at this stage (guessing it's been done at some point).
